Once you have made a provisional booking, Custom Breaks will reserve your holiday for up to 3 working days, by which time we must have received a deposit of 20% of the total rental cost. Upon receipt of this, we will send you a confirmation of booking showing what you have booked, the balance and when it is due. A contract exists between you and Custom Breaks when we dispatch your confirmation. If booking within ten weeks of departure, you must send the full balance of the holiday.
Full payment of the balance as shown on the confirmation of booking must reach us at least ten weeks before departure. If it does not, we reserve the right to cancel your holiday and levy cancellation charges as detailed below.
In the unlikely event of any alteration made by us to your holiday, such as date changes, room changes or chalet changes, we shall let you know as soon as possible and offer you:
In the event that you wish to amend your holiday in any way, we shall do our best to accommodate any changes although, in the event that we cannot meet your request we reserve that right to treat the booking as cancelled and cancellation charges as detailed below will apply.
Should you cancel your holiday for whatever reason, you must let Custom Breaks know immediately. The following cancellation charges shall apply and depend upon when notification is received from you in writing.
| Number of weeks before departure | % of total cost of holiday |
|---|---|
| 10 or more | Deposit |
| 4-10 weeks | 50% |
| Under 4 weeks | 100% |
If no written notice of cancellation is received and you do not travel, cancellation is deemed to have been received on the day of departure. We strongly advise to taking out travel insurance that includes cancellation and cover for personal belongings and public liability.
Chalet bedrooms can vary in size and decoration. No supplements are charged for ensuite facilities.
Upon departure, it is the guests' responsibility to leave the apartment in the clean condition it was found in. Suitable cleaning utensils will be available in the apartment for this use. Failure to leave the apartment in a good condition will result in charges made against your deposit.
When paying the full balance for your holiday, we shall also ask for a deposit of £200 against damage and breakages (accidental or otherwise). The deposit will be returned to you within 14 days of your departure.
Custom Breaks cannot be held responsible in the event of any change or cancellation of any part of your holiday in anyway because of terrorist activity, fire, natural or nuclear disaster, industrial dispute, adverse weather conditions, or any other circumstances which are beyond our control.
We reserve the right to recover from customers the cost of breakages, damage to accommodation etc. caused with or without intent by that customer. Custom Breaks does not accept liability for financial loss or damage to property suffered by you other than due to negligence of Custom Breaks Employees.
Any changes made to your group after the time of booking must be communicated to us. Any addition in numbers will not be permitted to stay in any apartment or chalet without notice. Additions beyond the standard occupancy of your apartment or chalet require special arrangements and additional charges may occur.
Any visitors to the apartment must vacate by 10 p.m. Under no circumstances are visitors allowed to spend the night in the apartment.
In the event that you should have any complaints with your holiday you must inform a member of Custom Breaks as soon as possible. If we are unable to resolve the problem to your satisfaction, you must confirm details of the complaint in writing within 28 days of your return to the UK.
We reserve the right to ask any of our guests to leave if they are rude and or insulting to our staff or anyone else associated with Custom Breaks. Any behaviour that is deemed offensive and dangerous to you, staff and other guests will be deemed as a breach of this contract. Custom Breaks have the right to terminate the contract and can ask undesirables to leave with no refunds whatsoever.
New regulations regarding ski guiding have recently been introduced in France. Custom Breaks are able to offer you advice regarding the area and the runs and may accompany you on the mountain. However, Custom Breaks staff are not qualified guides and therefore any undertaking by you of such services is done so entirely at your own risk.
It is vital that all members of your party have comprehensive travel insurance suitable for mountain activities.
Please note that our chalet operates a no smoking policy. No smoking is allowed inside the chalets as this is deemed as a fire risk.
Thank you.
