Our Philosophy

At Custom Breaks, our aim is to provide you with the winter holiday experience of a life time and we hope that you will want to return to us year after year.

NEW for Chalet Alice Guests

Chalet staff have one night off in every week. We recommend taking advantage of this by spending the night in a fantastic Mountain Refuge!

Before your holiday

In our opinion, your holiday with us begins the moment you make your booking and we ensure that we are always on hand to answer your queries and help with all aspects of your holiday planning. Before you arrive, we can help you organise everything you will need, from airport transfers to ski lessons, so that the holiday runs smoothly and effortlessly for you.

We will organise your free return ski transfers between Morzine and Geneva.
We can buy all your Morzine lift passes in advance so they are waiting ready for your arrival, saving you from potentially lengthy and boring queues.
We have in chalet ski and snowboard hire and can save you 10% on all hire costs. Your equipment will be waiting in the chalet for your arrival ensuring you can get on the mountain as soon as possible.
For families with young children, we can help find safe and friendly childminding either in the chalet or with a local creche.
For all levels of skier/snowboarder looking for lessons, we can ensure that you are enrolled in an excellent English speaking ski and snowboard school that is easy to get to.

Our Services
Minibus - We have a minibus dedicated to Chalet Alice which will take you to the slopes each morning. We also offer lifts into town some evenings, should you wish to go out on the town after dinner.

Restaurants - We have undertaken the painful task of sampling the local dishes at most of the restaurants in the area, so can happily recommend and make a reservation for you on the staff night off.

Snowboard & ski guiding** - We know the area very well and will be more than happy to show you around the area, both on and off the piste. We can take you to the best spots, avoid the crowds and queues and even let you in on some of our little known secrets!

**Please note that we are not qualified guides and this is a totally complimentary service subject to our terms and conditions.

On hand hosts - we only employ happy, enthusiastic and helpful staff! They live in the basement of the chalet (don't worry, it's very comfortable!) so are on hand throughout your stay to help you with all aspects of your holiday.

Booking activities - we can book many additional activities for you, either before you arrive or once you are here in resort: night sledging, ice hockey match, parapenting, cross country skiing, freestyle lessons, snow shoeing, off-piste guiding, ice climbing and after all that you might need to head to the local spa or have an in-house massage!

The Food
At Chalet Alice we know that meal times are an important part of your holiday, especially for fuelling and refuelling exhausted bodies!

For breakfast you can choose from cereals, muesli, warm croissants, toast and jams, fruit, yoghurts, cooked eggs, fruit juices and of course, tea and coffee.

When you return from your day on the mountain, a freshly cooked cake or home made biscuits will be waiting for you. You can help yourself to tea and coffee and relax in one of the lounge areas or outside taking in the stunning views.

For your evening meal, one of the highlights of the day where you can swap stories and make new friends, your hosts will prepare and serve a delicious and nutritious 3 course meal. All of our dishes are nutritionally balanced using fresh local produce. Of course, the house wine will be flowing!

Birthdays and Special Occasions
If you are celebrating a special event such as a birthday or anniversary during your stay, we can throw a (surprise) party in the chalet to your liking or organise a fantastic evening out in the town for the whole group. Just let us know, and we'll make sure you all have a fantastic day.

In Chalet Entertainment
We realise that a major part of any catered chalet holiday is reliant on the atmosphere and entertainment facilities within the chalet itself. At Chalet Alice, your live in chalet hosts help to create a friendly and relaxed atmosphere from the moment you arrive and will be on hand to help and entertain throughout your stay.

Two lounges with Big Screens
We have not one but two large plasma TV screens in the chalet to cater for groups with different tastes in viewing. Rather than give in to the DVD selection of the majority, simply disappear to the other lounge with a breakaway group to watch your own choice of DVD or to play on the PSII. Or, if you fancy snuggling up in bed with a DVD, you can do that too on the TV DVD Players in every bedroom!

Multi-Player Retro Arcade Cocktail Machine
For young and old arcade gamers, we have provided a brand new and stunning multi player retro cocktail arcade machine featuring more than 1000 old arcade classics. Be taken back to the good old days with games such as Pac-Man, Asteroids, Donkey Kong, Scramble, Daley Thompson's Decathlon? the list goes on!

Dedicated Internet Machine & WIFI access
We have installed a dedicated desktop computer with big flat panel screen to help you keep in contact with the outside world and keep on top of any important work emails. Or better still, bring out your digital camera and make friends and family back home envious with your holiday snaps before the holiday is even half way through!

Games, Books & Music
Chalet Alice comes well equipped with a range of classic board games, a library of books for you to read or swap for one of your own, and an iPod compatible stereo, so don't forget to bring your tunes!

The Chalet
Chalet Alice has been thoughtfully designed and provides excellent and comfortable accommodation for catered winter holidays.

The Bedrooms
All of the bedrooms are spacious, tastefully decorated in traditional Savoyard style with ensuite facilities and fantastic views of the Morzine valley. With crisp white linen, comfy cushions and fluffy towels it might be hard to get up in the morning!! Every room has it's own TV and DVD player if you fancy a cosy night in bed with a film.

Bedrooms 1 and 2 are situated on the ground floor and can be booked as a double or a twin rooms.

Bedroom 3 is on the first floor and can be booked as a double or twin.

Bedroom 4 is an ensuite double or twin with an open mezzanine area, sleeping 4 in total. Perfect for families or small groups.

Bedroom 5 is our luxury double or twin with a private balcony. There is an ensuite bathroom with a bath and a separate shower. Bedroom 5 also has a self contained mezzanine area which sleeps 3, again perfect for families or groups.

The Living Areas
Chalet Alice has two separate lounge areas. The mezzanine level is where all the fun is at! Here you will find the Multi-Player Retro Arcade Cocktail Machine, with 1000's of classic arcade games to play against your friends, or by yourself. There is also a wide screen TV with lots of DVD's to choose from, Playstation II with a whole load of games, classic board games and a computer should you wish to contact the outside world, or upload you photos to make your friends back home green with envy!

On the ground floor is the quieter, relaxing lounge area. Curl up on the sofas with a book, watch a film, listen to music, play games, take in the amazing mountain views, the perfect place to chill! Plus you are never far from the tea, coffee, cake and honesty bar!

The Boot Room
Located on the basement level, away from the living areas, we have a spacious, heated boot room to keep your equipment safe and dry for the following day!
