Chalet Alice, Frequently Asked Questions
Chalet Abby, Frequently Asked Questions
How can we get to the ski lifts?
Chalet Alice is perfectly located just 500m from the high speed Gondola which takes you to the snow sure, high altitude resort of Avoriaz. To save tired legs we offer a complimentary shuttle bus to the lifts each morning and the free ski bus also passes the chalet every 15 minutes. At the end of the day you can either ski back from Prodain to within 250m, walk downhill 550m or, even easier, catch the Navette bus to within 100m of the Chalet.
When can I check in?
You are welcome to arrive at the chalet at any time, but please be aware that your room will not be ready for you until 3pm. There is space for you to change and leave your luggage.
When do I have to check out?
We ask that you vacate your rooms by 10am but there is space for you to store your belongings if you are leaving the resort later.
Do you cater for people with special dietary requirements?
Of course. Please let us know on your booking form if you have anybody with any special requirements so that we can cater for them in advance.
What is the food like?
Our chef will cook hearty 3 course meals 6 nights a week. The meals are well balanced with fresh vegetables and meat or fish each night.
Do we have to book the whole chalet?
No. We take bookings for any amount of people.
Are they any supplements for single people?
A £250 supplement is charged for one person in a room for all weeks excluding Christmas, New Year, Half Term and Easter. The price for these weeks will be £50.00 less than the normal price. Single room supplements are limited to one per chalet per week.
Do you have parking at the chalet?
Yes, there is plenty of off road parking.
Q. How close is the Chalet to the main ski lifts?
A. The free ski bus stop is just 50m away, taking you to The Pleney in 3 minutes with access to Les Gets in one direction, and Les Prodains in 3 minutes which takes you to Avoriaz in the opposite direction.
Q. How easy is it to find child minding services?
A. We can help find suitable child minding for your children, please see our childminding in Morzine information page.
Q. How far is the chalet from the local restaurants, shops and bars?
A. Chalet Abby is situated in the old town area of Morzine, just a 5 minute walk to the shops, bars and restaurants. If you would like to eat in a particular restaurant, please feel free to contact us and we can arrange a reservation on your behalf. Having eaten in many of the restaurants ourselves, we can also give you recommendations on where to eat.
Q. There are only eight of us, can we book the entire chalet exclusively for ourselves?
A. Of course, all of our rental prices are based upon the rental of the entire chalet exclusively regardless of how few people in your party.
Q. There are more than 10 of us, how many people can the chalet accommodate?
A. The chalet can hold up to 13 people depending on the make up of your group. Please contact us to see how we can accommodate larger groups.
Q. Can you provide a bed and breakfast option on top of the self-catered option?
A. Yes, please contact us for more information.
Q. Do we still have access to the kitchen if we opt for a bed and breakfast option?
